Denise is passionate about maximizing profit, revenue, and impact for employers as a trusted advisor on HR and compensation issues. She partners with leaders to solve the talent attraction, retention, engagment, and productivity problems so they can achieve their strategic goals. She has spent more than 25 years designing HR/compensation programs and using effective communications to inspire employees to deliver the right results.
She partners with high performers so they get paid what they are worth and have careers aligned to their values.
She speaks on topics like pay negotiation, difficult conversations, conflict resolution, pay transparency, workplace equity, emotional intelligence, and executive presence.
Denise has previously served on the board of the Colorado Chapter of the Private Directors Association as Co-President and was a Founder of the chapter. She has previously served as the Co-Treasurer of the Rocky Mountain HR People & Strategy Association. And held multiple board positions including President of the Rocky Mountain Total Rewards Association.
As a certified board candidate, Denise is looking for her next board position in a small to mid-sized company within the technology or mining industry.
When she is not working, Denise enjoys reading, writing, cooking, walking, creating art, and spending time with family and friends. She is located in Colorado.

Denise has worked at Newmont, CenturyLink (now Lumen Technologies), First Data (now Fiserv), and Washington Mutual Bank (now JPMorgan Chase.) She has advised leaders on recognition, performance, base pay, bonus, and long-term incentive programs. She also has expertise in executive, expatriate, sales, and global compensation. Her non-U.S. experience includes Canada, South America, Africa and APAC.
She has managed health plans and wellness vendors and has negotiated contracts, service level agreements, and fees. She has developed and implemented wellness programs.
She has been a long-time member of SHRM, WorldatWork and the Rocky Mountain Total Rewards Association.
