Compensation Consultant - CLOSED
This is a part-time contractor role that can be done remotely in the U.S.
Analyzes, designs, and administers employer compensation programs, including base pay, long and short-term incentives, spot bonuses, commissions, and stock that align with company objectives for recruiting, retention, and employee engagement. Designs and communicates pay structures, grades, compensation budgets, and guidelines. Advises managers on making effective pay decisions that support employee engagement and comply with compensation policy and budgetary guidelines. Evaluates jobs using market pricing and/or point factor methodology. Develops and maintains job descriptions and job architecture components. Participates in compensation surveys. Conducts research and analysis on market competitiveness, pay equity, compensation trends, and economic trends. Participates as part of a team to implement and/or optimize compensation-related software. Work is independent, self-managed, and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex to very complex aspects of a project. Reports to Denise Liebetrau, Founder & Principal Consultant.
Candidate Requirements:
Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant experience.
Requires 15 or more years of related work experience in compensation. General HR experience is not a substitute for focused compensation experience.
You must also have experience presenting to, interacting with, and influencing C-level executives and/or board members.
Requires substantial experience with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Must have experience with using AI tools, writing effective prompts, and provide relevant HR/Compensation use cases.
Experience with comp tech tools like CompAnalyst, BetterComp, Payscale, MarketPay, ERI, and/or CompensationTool.
Experience with salary surveys like Culpepper, ERI, Mercer, WTW, Radford, Empsight, WMG, and/or Pearl Meyer.
Must have shared file experience with Google, OneDrive, Box, and/or Dropbox.
Candidate Preferences:
Significant business acumen within for-profit, non-profit, private, and public firms is preferred.
Prefer candidates with startup, mid-sized, and large global company experience.

Consultant Pay Range: $50 - $95/hour. While Prosper Consulting is based in the Denver area, this work can be done remotely in the U.S. Projects and hours vary based on client demand. As a contractor you provide your own computer and software.
This is not a role that can be performed successfully if you have a full-time job and expect to do this work outside of normal business hours.
