What does it mean to leave a legacy?
A legacy is the positive impact your life has on other people. Those people can be friends, colleagues, family, or strangers. Your legacy is the sum of the personal values, accomplishments, and actions that resonate with the people around you.
Having a purpose that is bigger than yourself is amazing. Some of us can define that purpose. Others are searching and reflecting on what that is and can’t yet define it confidently.
When I started my compensation consulting firm, one of my goals was to leave a legacy. I wanted to be more intentional with my time and energy. And I wanted to make a difference in the lives of my clients and their employees.
And I am happy to say that I am doing that. One way is by delivering on commitments to my clients. The other is to write and post about what I care about.
About a year ago I started posting here more frequently in my own voice to see what would happen. I am happy to say that my followers have increased. And so have impressions, comments, reposts, and direct messages.
I enjoy connecting and getting feedback. So, whether you agree or disagree, or just have something to add to the conversation I appreciate you.
More often I am being asked for a link to a specific post that someone remembers. To help you find a specific post, here are two resources.
1 – My posts are on my blog at ProsperConsultingLLC dot com. Click on Resources and then Blog.
2 – If you want to search my website for certain words or phrases, go to ProsperConsultingLLC dot com. Click on Resources and then Book Recommendations.
There is a search bar at the top of the webpage. Type in the word or phrase you want to find. Click enter. Then click enter a second time. (I don’t know why you must do it twice. It’s a bug in the functionality.) And yes, the search bar was at the top of the Blog webpage, but it doesn’t work there. (Again, a bug in the Squarespace search functionality.)
And if you have topics you want to see me post about, let me know in the comments below.
The dog photo has nothing to do with this post. It’s my attempt to get you to stop and read as you are scrolling.
