Have you ever opened an Excel file to see multiple colors, many tabs, and formulas that are so complicated you internally groan and wonder why you signed on for this madness?

Yep, that’s where I am living today. I’m in “Excel Hell.”

Excel is an incredibly powerful tool but there are times when I must start with a spreadsheet created by someone else and I find the untangling of the details overwhelming.

To those of you who leave notes and create column headings that make sense for those of in the compensation profession, thank you.

For those of you who don’t, may you step on a Lego barefoot or a large gross cat hairball as you navigate your way to the bathroom during the middle of the night.
